Kudler Fine Foods is a local upscale specialty food store located in the San Diego metropolitan area. The company has three locations (La Jolla, Del Mar and Encinitas). Each store is located in a fashionable shopping center. The stores are stocked with the very best domestic and imported foods in the bakery, meat and seafood, produce, cheese/dairy, and wine departments.
Primary functions of management
Kudler foods is owned and operated by President Kathy Kudler. There are three stores, each with their own store manager. Each store manager oversees the operations of their assigned store. The first store, La Jolla, is managed by Kent Vesper. The second store, Del Mar, is managed by Laurie Priest. The third store, Encinitas, is managed by Juanita Lopez. Each store has department managers for the different departments. These department managers work with the store manager to run the store.
Harvey Stephens is the Director of Finance and Accounting. He is responsible for the department that plans and directs the financing and accounting for Kudler Foods. He oversees two accounting clerks and two computer specialists. The accounting clerk maintains accounting records, while the computer specialists maintain computer systems and provides technical support and training to system users.
Yvonne Reynolds is the Director of Store Operations. She manages the operations of the three stores, including inventory, purchasing, and logistics. She oversees the purchasing and inventory managers. The purchasing managers coordinate purchasing and distributing materials, equipment, and supplies for all stores. The inventory managers establish appropriate inventory levels for all stores. They compile and maintain records of quantity, type, and value of inventory on hand.
