Our group is going to attempt the task of expanding Seattle's Best Coffee into Germany. To do this, we will need to develop a successful market entry strategy. We will determine what type of strategy to employ and the best way to implement it. For our global marketing approach, we will need to develop a strategy that involves cost efficiency, customer service, and innovation. We will need to discuss our manufacturing and materials management plan. We are also going to need to decide on our global HR plan. We are going to have to evaluate our financial resources and develop a financial plan. We will need to understand where the German people come from so we can do this effectively. We will need to decide on our accounting process also. We will touch on all of these things in this paper.
Market Entry Strategy
Our organization will pursue a market entry strategy to develop the skills, knowledge, and capabilities that will allow us to compete successfully in Germany to gain a competitive advantage, while out performing our competitors. The primary resources that any organization needs to survive and thrive are customers and the revenues they provide. (George & Jones, 2002). As defined by Hill (2005), "A firm's strategy can be defined as the actions that managers take to attain the goals of the firm" (Hill, 2005. ch.12, p.11). Seattle's best plans to find a balance between standard globalization and local responsiveness, therefore the market entry strategy that we feel will benefit our goals the most is a global strategy for our international pursuit in Germany. We will be incorporating many of Starbucks formulas since Starbucks purchased Seattle's coffee in 1998.
